Re: Anyone know of any conflicts between NOF and MS Visual Studio 2005?
Well,
I can't speak for anyone else
J# and NOF works fine on my system.
If it didn't I would have reported it
to the beta group long ago.

Re: Anyone know of any conflicts between NOF and MS Visual Studio 2005?
I just installed Visual Studio 2003 on a desktop unit
and installed NOF 9. There is NO conflict
I can see no problem in using either VS 2003 or
VS 2005 with NOF 8 or 9

That I can't say. My system has been good to me and has
really never given me any application compatibility issues,
and I have a lot of applications. Many are real resource hogs,
as is NOF, yet they all play nice.
You can I assume get other component pallets to show?
If that is the case then it is not a J# conflict as all NOF
components operate under the same code instructions.
I remember now with 8 I had that problem. Advanced
components would not show. it failed to install correctly.
After no success in unistall / re-install, I installed NOF 8
on a secondary pc, accessed the components directory
through the network copied that directory to the problem
pc and the issue was resolved.
What could be in conflict, I can not say.
Sorry to not be of more help

Visual Studio 2005 Professional Edition, SQL 2005 Express
..Net 1.1 and 2.0 Framework.
I also have J#, C# 2005 Express Edition with SQL 2005 Express
..Net 1.1 and 2.0 Framework on my daughters PC and it plays
well with NOF.

Re: Anyone know of any conflicts between NOF and MS Visual Studio 2005?
I was hoping the connection between J# and NOF would be a starting point for
my problem. There are others who have reported such instances. I don't know
of anything on my system that can result in a conflict to let NOF start but
without the advanced toolbar, access to advance tools and style setting
function. There is obviously a conflict somewhere, but the question remains
as to what has caused it and why others are getting the same or similiar NOF
problems when they run J#. Since there is only one way to install VS05 then
I can only assume that it requires tremendous resources to work properly. It
is the only thing on my system that is capable of changing resources,
registry, etc. It is logical that there is some sort of connection, but
what? Why would some systems be affected and others not.

What part of VS 05 won't work properly without J#?
I work in C# and VB.NET everyday and haven't found anything that doesn't work
yet.

That's interesting. You copied over the directory and your advanced
component tools became active? I'll check the advanced tool directory
permissions and see if that'll make a difference for me.

Re: Anyone know of any conflicts between NOF and MS Visual Studio 2005?
I beginning to wish I never acquired the damn VS05. I was trying to learn
ASP, then gradually migrate sites over with all of its so called new web
advantages. I'm in the beginning process of learning. All I know is I
uninstalled J#, restared VS05 and got an error message saying it needs it to
work properly. VS05 is not my main issue at this point. I need to get NOF
working for the time being without transferring 50 sites I maintain over to
a new platform.
