    All:

"Damaged objects have been found and deleted"

    http://www.gotfusion.com/tutsKS/dmbr.cfm

The "damaged objects" error also regularly happens when NOF sites are
not migrated forward from one NOF version to the next according to
    standard practice.

Have the same problem... I found that you have to be both lucky and
meticulous about all files moved from sites created with previous
versions.... and if you're downloading the file from your web server... its
    a reaaaaaaaaalllllll pain.
You're gonna end up with upteen different copies of the
same assets and if you pick the asset from the new file inside9, Fusion
crashes with the the damaged object message because Fusion automatically
jumps to the local file asset folder (not the one you 'think' your in)... if
you don't control-alt-delet at time the damage object message pops up...you
can lose ALL YOUR WORK.... use control-alt-delet...kill 9, and then come
back in... Fusion then corrects the 'one' damaged...the engineers need to
review the file management on migrated sites, first they have to be
downloaded to a local file (9 won't go through server security)... once you
get 'em down, you can't build a new nod file easily... a rebuild is a
nightmare! I FEEL IT WAS A BIG TIME MISTAKE TO UPGRADE...Its taking many
more hours to update sites that have been built in the past!

Reinstalling doesn't change a thing ....same problem... its a bug with the
    file managment design.

If you are doing the same in both versions, and 9 is deleting, my guess it that
you have a bad installation of 9. Uninstall it, reboot, turn of your
    anti-spyware, anti-adware, and anti-virus, then reinstall completely.

Total Frustration. We're trying to use NOF9 but continue to run into a
problem. I hope it is just us, please let me know if anyone has a
suggestion other than staying on V8.

Initially, we started a clean project in NOF9. After a couple of days work
getting content into the project, we began getting an error "Damaged objects
have been found on the page and have been deleted." No time to diagnose
the problem then so we went back to NOF8, re-constructed the site, and then
    posted with no problems.

This morning, I created a template and brought the "complete" project into
NOF9. Same error deleting components. I thought I had found that it was
only deleting objects associated with the DefaultMasterBorder, but later it
started deleting all components with other master borders.

For now, I can't use NOF9 until I resolve the issue.

We would be grateful for any suggestions.

    Best regards,

    Micah

I've just had a problem with a site which I created in NOF 9 (same as
what is in use now) was crashing.

I re-started NOF and "recovered" the site. Then saved it, then did a
full export to Template including remote profiles but not including
    unused files.

I then ran the Tools/Re-Optimize, saved again, then deleted the no
longer required pages and saved and re-optimized again.

Touch wood, it seems to have fixed things!

Yes, NOF 7 can have this problem too. I've been dealing with it since v5
    or maybe even longer.

Make sure you upload an *Exported template* on the web site, *not the
NOD*. Otherwise, you're not backing everything up that you need to back
    up...

Unfortunately, NOF 7 has the same issues, so it's been around for
awhile. I "discovered" that just this week trying to rebuild a
..nod from a web site for a friend who lost his hard drive &
hadn't backed up the most recent build. The only current code
    resided on his web site.
He thought I was a genious when I suggested also putting his

Oh, and he used the Photo Gallery; a REAL fun time to be had
    there!

    BUSS, I guess.

when you say you lost the site, do you mean the site is no longer on your
    hard drive

what made you think you lost the site? did you work on it and Nof closed
    without warning?

it is not possible to lose a Nof site unless your hard disk dies, so we need
more info to tell you what to do next
