I did the same (installation) and it seems o.k.

And, for the record... I absolutely agree with you about the release
    numbering.

So right Murray. This latest release should have been Release #3 with a note
that release #2 had been withdrawn. The NOF site should also have had a
release note explaining that this latest release can or cannot be installed
on top of NOF 9 which has the withdrawn Update #2. I hope that makes sense.

For the record ... I installed it on top of NOF 9 with the withdrawn #2 in
absence of a note saying otherwise. Fingers crossed.

This is just a perpetuation of a totally perverse and stupid naming
convention about which, at least this one user, has complained for some
    time.

There is utterly NO GOOD REASON to use the same name for two different
things (even if one distinguishes the two through some much more obscure
    build number or build date).

This update has exactly the same name as the previous Update 2, even though it
is supposed to be imporved. So I assume you already downloaded the first one.
It is similar when you just go to the site and download it. If you save to the
same place as where you had the previous file, it will ask if you want to
    replace it.

    Tony,

WSP generally rolls out an update in stages.

First they "soft launch". They make the update available form the NetObjects
    website, but don't announce it.

Then they make a public announcement here in the newsgroups and possibly
    elsewhere.

Then, at some point, they make it available via AutoUpdate in the program.

I imagine this is to spread the load on their server out over time.

To get the update now, manually download it from:

    www.netobjects.com/html/productupdatenof9.html

After downloading, double-click on the exe file to install the update,
making sure you allow all install windows to close on their own.

    Marcel,

The German version of Fusion 9 was released at the level of the initial
    English version plus Update 1.

So when you see an Update 1 for the German version, that will be equal to
    the English Update 2.

If you look at the list of changes for English Update 2, that will more or
less be what you'll see in German Update 1.

Not sure about the docs questions.

    Hi Chuck,

when will there be other language editions of Update#2? Or should I
better change to the US-version of NOF9? Is this possible with my tons
    of NOD9-files?

And is there an agenda of changes for the updated documentation? How do
I know which parts are new? Thanks for your answer!

I agree about the utter stupidity of giving two different things the same
name. I'm currently involved in a similar debate with a major mainframe
software vendor. The only place this works well is on the old Newhart Show,
remember Larry, Darryl and Darryl? That's the only place I know where it
worked well. Therefore, I've dubbed this the "Larry, Darryl and Darryl
    Problem.
