    They are commented out just for non js-enabled browsers.
    These are HTML comments and it is best practice.
    The Javascript engine does not care about the HTML comments.

    Default Scripts commented out

    I have added some "actions" to a text link that are java scripts. When I
    local Publish the page I get an error from the browser (ie 6). If I "view
    source" the NOF generated scripts are commented out i.e <script> <!-- (the
    generated scripts)-->.

    If they are commented out, of course they won't work, but why do they get
    commented out?
