Re: NOF9 / IE7??
the only way it will get attention from WSP is you, the user, make your
voice heard.
I suggest everyone email support@netobjects.com about this.
The squeakey wheel gets the grease.

Re: NOF9 / IE7??
You're right, Mark. We should nag WSP about this now, if not for this
reason then countless others they deserve nagging about.
But isn't IE7 supposed to be more CSS compliant? But it isn't -- owing to
problems with DIV. It's supposed to be more W3C compliant too but you know
how that is. So while we wait for IE 7 to become the next greatest thing
since Post-it Notes, click here http://www.ie7.com/

Re: NOF9 / IE7??
I installed IE7 Beta and my P4 system slowed to a grinding halt when browsing
in IE or Maxthon - uninstalled and rebooted, was working nicely again....go

Re: NOF9 / IE7??
Hi,
Irrespective of comments made herein, the Microsoft policy is that
Windows Internet Explorer aka IE 7 will be a stand-alone application, it
will not be an integrated element of the Windows shell {unlike IE6, back
to IE3 if memory serves} and therefore will no longer be capable of
acting as a native file browser.
These changes are driven by a number of concerns, including security and
also, I suspect, to avoid possible legal issues with the, now fabled,
launch of Vista.
Any application which uses IE6 as a native shell extension will need
attention since WIE as it should be called will no longer support this
functionality. Equally, in final form, it is probable that WIE will
remove IE6 from the system {XP or earlier}, and therefore just adding
WIE to a system will break existing installations using this technique.
Though it goes against historical form it would be nice for WSP to at
least comment on their anticipated WIE policy. i.e. There will be a free
patch/fix for NOF version(s) x, xx, xxx, available after MS freezes
development of WIE
Regards

Re: NOF9 / IE7??
You can't pull the cart until the horse is sure to leave the barn. Vista's
release has been rolled back more than a couple of times already and NOF
isn't the only app that has problems running with IE7. Seems to me
something similar happened when MS came out with Win 95. Many software
makers felt threatened by it but it all got sorted out in the end.

It's Microsoft that needs to get "its act together". That's what they're doing through betas of IE7.
If Fusion has problems working with the release version of IE7, it would be time to call on WSP to get *their* act
together.

since the majority of the planet will eventually be IE7, NOF better get

NOF9 / IE7??
I installed IE7 a couple of weeks ago, then upgraded to NOF9. Couldn't
view my site styles, as previously noted in this newsgroup.
Does anyone know if the newest version of IE7 works properly? (I don't
want to install/uninstall again)
Thanks

Re: NOF9 / IE7??
IE 7 is still a beta release isn't it? I know it has created some big
problems for NOF users in the past and a recent PC world Magazine said IE 7
had several issues to be worked out but it looked promising. So I'm not
knocking the application. I'm just leery of having any beta products on my
work machines.
Personally, I only use IE6 to test my web sites anymore. My default
browsers are Firefox and Opera.
