Master boarder question
I'm building a web site with a boarder on the left side in this boarder is
the site navigation in a layout region with a background color.
I have assigned a page height for the left side boarder layout region of
1100 points which fits the first page but the next page might be 880 points
or 1500 points..
How can I make the left side master boarder layout region adjust to the
different size pages in the web site..
I hope this makes some sense......
Thanks for any help..

Re: Master boarder question
Jerry,
Sounds like you're talking about the background color you're using in the layout region stretching the length of the
pages.
No can do. A layout region doesn't resize like that.
You'll need to make a background graphic for the page layout itself.
In a graphics program, make an image about 2000 px wide and 3 px high. Color the left portion [the appropriate number of
pixels] the color you gave your layout region. Color the rest of the graphic the main layout background color.
The image will tile as a background and give you the effect it sounds like you're looking for.

Re: Master boarder question
Interesting...I will give it a try..
Will the background JPEG as a layout region background "tiling" slow the
page down when downloading if it is ..say...2000 points long?
Thanks for the idea.

Re: Master boarder question
A background image 2000 px wide and 2 or 3 pixels high, will load very quickly.
Especially if you do image optimization in your graphics program. PhotoImpact, Paintshop Pro, etc.
You need the width to prevent tiling on hi-res displays.
