I noticed it early Jan... I sure do hope things change for the better, for
    me..

It is strange, because I am definitely still listed but when I copy text
from my home page and even put it in quotes it still does not come up at
all, and yet like I said google does have me..

    Hello Joel,

When did you notice a change in your rankings. I know google switched to a
new ranking algorithm back in November or December. This effected many site
    rankings.

    Default google issue again

I realize this is probably not the problem, but on my end the only real
difference I can think of that I did before I notice a drastic change in my
Google rankings.. I had many keyword searches that always came up on the
first page and they still do in most other search engines... Now either they
don't come up or they dropped from number 3 to 77 . I upgraded to
9 and uploaded my entire site recently ... Anyone else notice a drastic
difference in Google... (you should check)

I need to read up on the use of header tags....
I thought I was doing a descent job on page titles... I'll read that
    article and review my site

"Put the textual content ABOVE the graphics you have on the page"

Are you referring to the small furniture pieces on my homepage.. On those I
didn't want to clutter up the layout.
All of my pictures, or most throughout my site do have text below them...
    should they be headers ??

I guess I always thought the text in the blue box on my home page did make
reference to many things of furniture.. the use of the word furniture and
other words to go with it.. ex: Custom, Arts & Crafts, Shaker, Art Deco,
    Art Nouveau, and Contemporary,

You don't think there's important words there ?
And I assumed the text throughout the site is all good for search engines...
I know it still works great in Yahoo...
of course I don't want to be defensive... that doesn't help my site.
    Thanks for you input

    All comments are good

    ..
If you are going to target search engine spiders and want to rank high on a general search words such as furniture you will need more targeting text.

It is an art form to write text that is appealing to readers and appealing to spiders and indexing algorithms. It can be done but you have to think with two frames of minds working in parallel for it to be effective.

    I update often... just did

Have not bought ads.. yet !

Just sign up for Analytics 10 minutes ago and Webmaster tools about a week
    ago.

I do many styles of furniture. One direction I have been pushing is Art
Deco.. and like I mentioned in my post I was doing great with those
keywords, now they are really far down or not there at all.. Some of my
competitors were right there next to me before.. Now I still see them and
not me... I really don't see anything obvious..

    Some things to look at:
When was the last time you updated your content or added new content to the
site? SE's favor sites that regularly add new content.

Have you looked at your competitor's sites to see how they're doing in
    rankings?

Are you buying Google Keyword Ads?

Using Google Analytics and Google Webmaster tools?
