Best Publish settings
Presently I have it set to site structure... Some time back I was advised to
go flat.... or how about asset type..
Or do you think it all doesn't really matter which way it is done..
Joel
I'm just trying to look at "every" possible solution to get Google to like
me again !!!
I did alot of changes last week especially on my homepage.. I did see that I
was crawled on the 25th, but so far I have not seen any Google changes.. Not
to re-hash the old here, but my big search test has been "Art Deco Desk"
Yahoo loves it !! Google did for years..

Re: Best Publish settings
Many of my sites are number 1 on Yahoo, but lower on Google. That's
because Yahoo is more content-based and is therefore easier to
manipulate, since you control the content... whereas Google looks at
factors that are less in your control. Google's mantra is "relevance".
And when they evaluate your site, they don't just look at your pages...
they also look at traffic in inbound links, which are other sites that
contain links to your site. They assume that if many other related
websites send people to your site, then your site must have considerable
relevance and popularity. That makes you relevant. This doesn't
explain why you dropped down the list at Google... but it does explain
why you might not have control over moving back up the list.

Re: Best Publish settings
I've started using Flat for publishing, but not because it's likely to
have any impact on search engines... because it won't. Why would they
care where you put your files? If you have a link to a page, they'll
find it, and they'll index it, regardless of whether it's in one folder
or another.
