Default Horizontal menu w/ consistant widths

A feature I have been waiting to see is the ability to create a horizontal
menu such that the buttons are sized to the size of the enclosed text. For
example, a button that says HOME is physically thinner than a button that
says "ABOUT OUR COMPANY". Instead, the HOME button has to be huge with a
ton of "white space" to ensure that the wider legends have enough room.

Any suggestions on how this might be accomplished with the current
version(s)? I don't think there is short of creating your own graphical
images and dropping them in as links but that nulifies the valuable nav
    system in NOF.

NOF makes it so easy to do so many things, but what you ask for cannot
be done automatically. No biggie. As you say, just make the buttons by
hand. When NOF's automatic features fit your needs, we all like to take
advantage of them, but don't be put off if sometimes, as a NOF user,
you've got to do it the same way everybody else does.... the old manual
way. That works well, too, and it will give you exactly what you want.
