Thanks, I talked to them but they don't have a bcc feature, so it won't be
    any good for me.

    Default Mailto question

I run a website of vacation rental houses near Disney, Orlando,
(www.holiday-home-rentals-orlando.co.uk) and have simple mailto links on
each house page so clients can e-mail the owner direct. How can I get myself
sent a copy of these inquiries? It would be really helpful to know what
    response they are having.

    Roger,

You need to setup a FormMail Page. This way you can setup your e-mail
address to either a cc: or bcc: and get a copy of the e-mail.

The difficulty with using a formmail page may come with the shear volume of
homes you want to advertise. If you have many you may want to program some
type of database solution. With the Fusion e-mail component you would make
up a formmail page for each listing.

Another option would be to use Form@ail by dbMasters. You can setup
configurations that easily allow the sending of the same form to different
e-mails addresses by just changing the value of the config parameter. Many
folks here use this script so getting help shouldn't be a problem. A
tutorial can also be found here:

    Hi Chuck,
I use formmailer on other sites, and I know it can get complicated to use
with multiple responders. I also did not want a form as such, just to
receive a bcc from the clients e-mail to the house owner. Isn't there any
    other simple way?

    Roger,

You can add yourself to the Mailto: link. Like so:
    mailto:name@domain.com?bcc=john@doe.com
However that doesn't mean the sender won't delete you e-mail address if they
    so desire.

Also, how do you information for those potential clients that don't have a
POP mail address, ie: those that are using a webmail client like hotmail.
When they click on the Mailto: link they have not e-mail client to open.
Seems like you would be loosing potential customers without an e-mail form.

I guess you are not concerend about email harvesters sending SPAM to you and
    your clients then.

Use this in your email links:
    mailto:YourName@YourSite.com?cc=someone@YourSite.c om&bcc=someoneElse@YourSite.com&subject=Orlando%20 Rental%20Property>

    Nancy,
Well I am, but I'm more interested in finding out how many inquiries my
clients are getting and what quality. If I get a lot of spam I'll re think
    it.
