    Hi Garret,

Well, thank you for providing proof .. I am convinced, but wish I could see
    them as well !!

Deciding to check my Flash to see whether it is fully updated, although I
have no problems viewing Flash Sites .. now I am struggling to get I/E7 to
actually allow the Flash Update to download !! It is blocking it at the
moment saying Adobe's Site is an unsafe use of Active-X !

Jeeez, just when you think you are getting to grips with programs .. they
    turn on you !

    Thanks again ..

Never, ever underestimate the power of Norton in screwing things up! Nancy
    may be onto it.

Norton won't know about them leaving your machine (it won't check NOF's
ftping or that of another FTP program) - just them coming back from the web.

    Hey Guys :-))

Well done indeed .. you have found the problem and are 100% correct ..
Norton did indeed block these banners .. I just found the Log Files and this
is what it tells me for this and other afriscenes pages :

    Content Blocked:
    Date Time: 25/07/2007 17:12:01
    User: Supervisor
    Action: Blocked
    Type: Ad
    URL: http://www.afriscenes.com/index.html
    Data: (Script) (Reason: "/banner.")

So how do I get around this one please ?

    Cheers

    David

    Thanks for your input Nancy,

I am indeed using Norton, but I cannot understand how can it be selective in
allowing files of the type you mention, but not these particular ones,
especially as they are of my own ( well NOF's ) making ?

    David,
Which anti-virus are you using? Norton is notorious for blocking stuff to
all browsers when internet security settings are set to High. By default,
it will block certain files types such as JavaScript, Flash, Java, etc...

Have a look at anti-virus settings.

inserted screenshots of the Error messages, with the lines referenced picked
out .. to info at your Automate address .. entitled "David''s missing

    your Spam folder !

I will resend to your personal address

    You are very kind ..

    Hi Anton,

Yes, I had to change some security settings in I/E7 just to get rid of the
constant warning messages when I tried to preview my own Websites on my own
system ! I preferred the ease of use of I/E6, but it seems senseless to go
back. The thought of letting I/E7 go back to its default mode is not one I
    like to think about ;-))

This occasional problem is not constant .. 99.9% of the time I can see all
my own files, which update immediately when FTP'd to my server .. and every
other type of file from others' Websites, without problem. If I/E7 won't
play a file type, I switch to Firefox or Opera, which I have running to also
be able to check their presentation of my Websites whilst I am writing them.

The problem seems to be with my XP Pro system ( which is clean and has
everything fully updated ) seeing as it applies to all three browsers .. and
once it has refused to show ( in this case ) the Flash banners from NOF9 and
on another two occasions, some .jpeg picture files on my business Website ..
it stubbornly refuses to show them forever more, on any of the browsers ..
    no matter what I do.

I have been using a succession of NOF programs for 8 years now .. but this
    problem remains most strange !

Both .js files when opened display Windows Script Host - Microsoft JScript
runtime errors .. the specific details of which I have "cheekily" sent to
Garret at his business e-mail address, in the hope that he will be willing
to have a quick look to see if this could be the problem. I hope he doesn't
mind and he is obviously under no obligation to help me at all, but I didn't
want to clog up this forum with what I think is probably a non-NOF problem
... and he knows about coding, which sadly I don't !!

Many thanks for your suggestion, if it were just in I/E7's display, or lack
of it, I would be tempted to try it.

    Cheers
    David

My thanks to you both, Robert and Garret, for your assistance.

I fired up my Win 2000 Pro computer with I/E6 .. which showed the banners
without problem .. it is good to know that NOF9 is working properly.

There is something strange about my XP Pro system, when on two former

files, re-uploading new ones, clearing every cache and temp file I can find,

effect .. in any of my browsers. But that is for a different forum.
