    Chuck, whilst I am certain you already know this but in the off chance this
    might be of interest to you:

    A friend of mine who is a programmer (PHP,XML,C++,,,,etc etc) has started
    using Joomla http://www.joomla.org/ I was very impressed with the ease of
    use and how easy this and the local server system was to use, he had started
    with Wiki but found it a little clunky.

    Actually, I've written my own membership sytem with PHP/MySQL. ust haven't
    had time to implement it.

    a system, my freind will use it for a new web site for members (they write
    plug inns for X Plane) and the forum will have tutorials members articles
    and the likes, but my freind can approve dissaprove etc publish or not, I
