It's good that you located the problem. Did you report this problem to
McAfee?

Can you tell McAfee to ignore files in certain folders? If not, you may
want to look into another product.

I left McAfee years ago. It wasn't landing high enough in the anti-virus
comparison tests I was reading. NOD32 is usually at or near the top of
the list. I've had no problems with it quarantining files it shouldn't.

OTOH, Counterspy (anti-malware) recently quarantined my password manager.
