OT: Avatar question

Greetings all,
I'm not a keen fan of Web Forums b/c NNTP is so much more convenient for me. But I can no longer decipher what's going on from Windows Mail. This forum is only showing me partial threads.

Alright. Progress is progress... So how do I add a custom Avatar to my profile?

The first 2 posts that anyone makes are moderated (to catch spammers). These first 2 posts are not sent to the nntp mirror unless they are instantly approved (not gonna happen I am sure). After a user becomes a full member (their 2rd post) everything they submit on the web form is instantly sent to nntp.

To upload an avatar click on the "Settings" link at the upper right (next to the Log Out link)

Down on the left under settings you will see a link that says "Edit Avatar" Click that.

You can either link to an avatar on a remote computer or unload one from your computer to the web forum (click the "use custom avatar" radio button)

Thats it.

Not sure it's really progress - Like you I'd much rather read via a newsreader.
However - looks as if NNTP won't pick up my future posts unless I've already had two valid posts approved here -
