Question Create My Own Site Wizard?

Is it possible to create my own Site Wizard process from a custom Template?

I'm looking at doing a bunch of cookie-cutter sites for a certain segment. The sites would need to be set up quickly, and inexpensively, with minimum customization. I'm thinking a "Site Wizard" type of arrangement would help with quick setup with variations. Since the Site Wizard only has a small selection of templates available, I'm thinking it might not be so easy to have my own template come up in the wizard. But it never hurts to ask.

Or am I better off creating one huge, master site with all possible pages included, then just do a "New from Template..." and delete whatever is unwanted?

Any other suggestions for something like this?

    Thanks,

    -RayC

You know Ray this might be a good sugestion for NOF12, if you can use one of the templates from the site wizzard, all you need do after that is to change the style, and edit of course, but I am sure you want a more dedicated wizzard.

Could it perhaps help you to create a few custom templates and use them as per this description:

I find it very useful to use white layout backgrounds and create a number of icons/Buttons in various colours and e.g. with shades to change the individual look, while leaving the basic design and page structure mostly unchanged.

I think I'd use the modular (object oriented) approach and create each of
the changeable pieces as a separate file.
Then you could simply "include" them if you know PHP, or pull in/paste
the relevent ones if you do it manually. I think that'd be better than an
'all in one' that needs deleting a lot of pieces and would allow easy
implementation of new things in the future.
"Include" is a very useful command and keeps the main code simpler and
    better separated, too.
