I have NetObjects Fusion Essentials 7.5 - just downloaded and installed three updates today (which has messed me up, but that's a different problem).

I made a mistake when designing the front page recently and couldn't fix it so I just redid the entire website. NOW, though, I cannot upload the new site. It says it has published everything, but the old site is still there.

Going back to the original post in this thread, let me answer these two questions:

What do you have set in the "Directory" box in remote publish settings? (Empty)

What is the URL of the web site? (uufortwayne.org)

I tried the fix with the Connect Passive Mode and it did not work. I didn't have this much trouble when I first put it online back in April - I could use your guidance.

    Thank you.

    Peacefully, Kirsten

    Possibilities:

    1) Your host may be using a proxy which means new content will not display right away (can't do anything except wait if this is the problem).

    2) you are seeing what is in your browser cache. Press CTRL + F5 to force a page reload.

    3) you may have the wrong settings in your remote publish profile. Ask your web host for upload details. Most hosts have tutorials on how to set up FTP connections. Here is mine (DO NOT USE THESE SETTINGS as you are not one of my hosting clients) http://www.gothosting.biz/knowledgebase.cfm?itemID=441

If all of this does not clear up your problem remove the work files and do a full remote publish. See this page for details http://www.gotfusion.com/tutorials/tut.cfm?itemID=4029

Based upon what you said, I called my hostmaster and he helped me walk through it. The directory WAS supposed to have something in it (after talking with him, I remembered WHY), but even when I put in the right path, it did not work. But we got another way figured out.

I appreciate the info about removing the work files - I need to do that so there's only one website for me to work from. Thank you for your help.
