Me too. Not wanting to expose my email address, I tried to follow the instructions to post anonymously but it didn't seem to work. If we don't figure this out, it looks like DW will win. What? DW? WYSIWYG? DW is good on many levels... but for WYSIWYG, nothing beats NOF.

Well, they do say this in the article:

To prevent tampering with the results, votes from first-time commenters may not be counted.
I have a "disposable" email address that I use for things like this, and online contests. I just voted, got a confirmation email, and confirmed via the link they sent. If you've got hosting, you've likely got 100 or more email addresses you can set up. Make one like: I_♥_Fusion@yourdomain.com and vote.

Woof, I don't see a lof of import on anythng there. IMO, that's not "voting"
for anything and what's that crap about first time comments not being
accepted? Looks kinda clunky to get any useful data from it too.
Besides, with NOF11 being stagnant as it is and has been for so long, I
no longer recommend it. IFF I mention it, it's only in passing as something
to look at. Only a program with no bugs should ever be allowed to become as
stagnant as has happened to NOF 11.
Assuming the vote wanted is positive, I couldn't do it without mentioning
the negatives also, so probably just as well I wouldn't post there. I'm too
honest for what it looks like those pages expect.
Currently I don't recommend many wysiwyg editors other than the ones I
use, especialy if I haven't used them recently as in say the last year or
so; things change fast. There are far too many good ones out there:NOF is
good but it's not for everyone anymore than using Word to write HTML text is
    (one of the entries there).

Judging by the number of "people who use wysiwyg programs are wimps", "I only hand code..." etc the site's conclusion are going to be irrelevant anyway. Yes, I hand-coded sites for about 5 years (html and perl cgi) until the proliferation of web technologies left me behind. I'm interested in building sites, not seeing how many languages/technologies I can learn (which appears to be the case for most lifehacker members). NoF lets me develop basic sites quickly and with incredible flexibility. If a client needs more complex technology than I can do, I pass on the brief (or hire a subcontractor if there's enough money in it).
