    Default Form table creating space

    Hi,

    I would like to position two tables together, one on top of the other to match without any gap between.
    This is ok using normal tables, no gap between.

    However, when i make the top table a form table (which it needs to be), it inserts a space between the tables, although i cannot see any html that produces this?

    The only additional html added when selecting the top table as form is:

    <FORM NAME="Table6FORM" ACTION="" METHOD=POST>
    .
    .
    .
    </FORM>

    Is there anyway the space can be removed?

    OK... I'll bite since no one else has answered........

    If you only have one form on the page you can make the layout the form.

    Uncheck the "Table is a Form" box on the table properties palette.

    Press F9 for the layout properties palette

    Check the box that says "Layout is a Form"

    Click image for larger version.

Name:	layoutForm..gif
Views:	130
Size:	12.1 KB
ID:	287

    This will move the form tags to the layout table and your 2 tables should fit together. It will only work if you have one form on the page. More than one and this will not work.

    Mikes suggestion is sound, however, if you are using NOF11 it doesn't do that as a base issue. I can place two tables on top of each other and make the top one a form and it doesn't put space between them. This used to be a problem in NOF10. It may be being caused by something else. There is a bug that puts a 19px margin in the CSS of text that may be causing the issue. Double-click on any text and look in the CSS Code Editor Section, go toward the bottom and find margin. The bug places margin: 19px 0px; You have to remove the 19px part of that statement.

    Thanks guys,

    I've got around this by simply moving the </FORM> further up the table, it only appears to be a problem when its on the last row

    Regards, J
