    Default inline frame

Every time I create an inline frame that is external linked NOF12 crashes.
    Steps taken are simple enough:
    1. Create a new page
    2. Create a new Masterborder
    3. Size the layout
    4. Add an inline frame with external link

I preview it and the preview functions perfectly, then NOF stops working.
Using Windows 7 64 bit O/S Professional Edition
    IE8

When I reopen the nod, it performs a recovery and says damaged objects have been found in the layout and are deleted.
On the page with the inline frame, the Masterborder is completely empty.
Maybe the problem lies in the MB, as I can preview the page now without exception with the inline frame functioning, but an empty MB.

I know this does not do you any good at all but I can't reproduce your issue. The iframe tool has been out for years (going back to version 10). No one has reported any issues with it before.

I would suggest that you start a new blank site using the stock style. Go to the single page and place an iframe. Do you have problems?

If everything works you need to look at your site project for issues. Have you pasted any content from outside sources (another web site, MS Word, Excel, etc)?

For some reason the inline frame is working better than ever for me. I tried in a new site from a template with some 11 or 12 pages and no stability or crashing issues at all. Have the same OS as you. Not sure what could be the problem -- maybe try a newer template/or create a new blank site.

Ok, it is not the inline frame, it is in the layout.
Repetitvely I run into when I reopen the site "Damaged Objects in the Layout have been deleted"
I just first ran into it on the inline frame page.
    Now it is everywhere
This is a new site from scratch started in v12.

Did you copy/paste from any outside source such as another web page or MS word or Excel?

Have you inserted any 3rd party scripts?

I onced again started from scratch creating a new site
After 8 pages, I again got an error message Damaged objects in Layout when I do a local publish.
    NOF stops working
After that while it says it recovers it stops working everytime I publish
This has nothing to do with copy and pasting from Word, Excel or a Script.
Any ideas on why this is happening or how to recover so I can continue working?
    It is getting old, fast.
I have used NOF since v3 and never had such a porblem.

Only problems that I had and are similar to yours were back in version 4 which were resolved with a patch i think, and then again in version 6 (MX) when i imported a bunch of bigger sites done in a previous version that had some 3rd party components in layouts.

How about ... trying to uninstall and reinstall the 12? Or maybe trying to publish your site locally FLAT and see if there are any improvements in stability. I'm not sure if the uninstall would also remove the files/folders placed in My Documents during the install -- if not i'd remove them manually (just move them to some other place till you reinstall -- I'm particularly concerned that if you don't move them and there is some corruption under your profile or the ini file that the problems could continue). During the reinstall try to OK the default install paths offered by the installer. Good luck and hope everything works out for you.
