Default simple forum / message board add on?

    Hi All,

First of all a big thanks to everyone who has asissted me so far over the last week on various posts and what a great product NOF is consdiering its completley free!

I am currently creating a village web site and was hoping i could get hold of a simple forum add on, however i am after something quite simple without all the bells and whistles of a full blown forum as the aim is to keep it as simple and friendly as possible (like a simpe notice board where villagers can simply post quick messages etc)

Unfortunaltey i am also after one that is free(!) as the site so far is all voluntary and unpaid, hope someone can help?

    Regards, J

    Jofan,

Your solution is NABBLE. Very easy, customisable and a joy to work with (http://www.nabble.com/)

Wouldn't it be great if there was only a single browser to worry about!!!

    Thanks Paul,

Thats just what im after, and the Newspaper option is a bonus!

Just one question, with the Nabble Forum I have been given an HTML code to allow me to embed within my site.

How do i embed this? I have a page on my website with a simple 'click here for the Hilcote Forum' that will act as the link but not sure how or where to add the HTML snipet?

    Regards,
    J

Create a new blank page to hold the forum.

Draw a text box in the center of the page.

Press CTRL + T to bring up the HTML insertion dialog box, paste the html in there and click OK

Name:	insertHTML..gif
Views:	1136
Size:	17.6 KB
ID:	129.

You will see a small blue circle with a white T inside it which is the inserted HTML place holder/marker. To edit any of the inserted code you double click within the text box and click that icon to bring the html insertion box that holds the code back up so you can edit it.
